Ready to get started?
Follow these three steps to get started with Payactiv. Each step is broken down in more detail below. It is important that you follow these steps or you may encounter issues when creating an account on the app.
Opt-in to Payactiv from Workday
Select Payactiv as one of your benefits and HR will activate it.
Check your phone number
The number you use to create an account must match Workday.
Download the Payactiv app
You will receive a text from Payactiv when it’s time to download the app and create an account.
How to opt-in from Workday
Total completion time: 2 mins
1. Log into Workday
2. Go to Benefits & Pay > Change Benefits
3. On the next screen select Payactiv from the Change Reason list
4. Choose today’s date as the Enrollment Date on the date picker
5. Click Submit and you’ll be taken back to your dashboard.
6. Under Needs Attention, click Enroll on the Payactiv Earned Wage Access tile
7. Click Let’s Get Started > Review and Sign
8. Scroll to the bottom and check I Accept > click Submit
You’ll receive 2 communications: an email from Workday confirming your benefit elections, and a text message from Payactiv when you are able to download the app and create an account.
Once submitted, it can take up to 2 hours for the benefit to be activated.
How to update your phone number in Workday
1. From the Workday home page, click the Menu icon.
2. Under the Apps column, click Personal Information.
3. Under the Change section, click Contact Information.
4. On the top left corner, Click Edit.
5. Scroll down and locate the Primary Phone field.
6. Click the Pencil icon to edit contact info.
7. Select the Phone Device.
8. Enter Phone Number.
9. Select Visibility.
10. Click Submit.
11. You should receive confirmation that the contact change was submitted.
12. Click Done.
How to download Payactiv and create an account
1. Search Payactiv in the App Store or Google Play Store
2. Launch the app and press “Join Today”
3. Enter the phone number you have on Workday
4. Enter the code that is texted to your phone
5. Enter your info and create a password, then check the checkboxes if you agree to the terms.
6. Enter Chuck E Cheese or Peter Piper Pizza based on your location
7. You’ll have the option to access your wages already or skip to the home screen and explore other app features

1 Promotion only open to residents of the United States. The promotion will run to November 8, 2024, at 11:59 PM PST. One winning location will be selected from each of the following regions: Northwest Stores, Southwest Stores, Northeast Stores, Southeast Stores, and PPP Stores. The location in each region with the highest percentage of successful enrollments^ as of November 8, 2024 will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie, the location with the highest total number of enrollments will win. If there is still a tie, the winner will be chosen through a random draw.
Each winning location will receive a $500 reward, which can only be used for a team meal, team event, donation to a local charity, or other initiatives that directly benefit the store or community. Within 5 business days after the promotion ends, Payactiv will contact the General Managers of the winning locations to arrange the distribution of the $500 rewards. Additionally, each employee at the winning locations who is enrolled in Payactiv by the end of the promotion will receive a $20 reward to be deposited into their linked Payactiv Visa Card, bank account, or debit card within 10 business days after the promotion ends. Limited to one reward per employee.
To help track performance, a leaderboard will be available above, displaying the top 10 performing stores in each region. The terms of this offer are subject to change without notice.
^To successfully enroll, employees must log into their Workday account and select Payactiv as a benefit first. Once selected, they will then receive a text message prompting them to download the Payactiv app and create their account.
