Payactiv Wins Gold at 2022 Anthem Awards

We are thrilled to announce Payactiv has been awarded the gold medal at the inaugural 2022 Anthem Awards for the Best Service with an impact on Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion.

The Anthem Awards, the Webby Awards newest initiative, was developed to recognize the breadth of social good work (online and offline) around the globe by honoring the organizations, brands, and people creating long-lasting impact. By amplifying the voices that spark global change, the Anthem Awards are defining a new benchmark for impactful work that inspires others to take action in their communities.

Last year, Payactiv was recognized at the 25th annual Webby Awards for our short animated film, “We Heard You”, a tribute to the humanity of all workers. It is an honor to be recognized once again in a separate initiative for our overarching impact.

Inclusion as a gold medal recipient in the 2022 Anthem Awards means Payctiv’s work not only demonstrates world-class talent, insight, leadership, and execution, it is also a best-in-class example of the work leading the way in the Impact Industry. The Anthem Awards are judged by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), a diverse group of social impact leaders and experts who are all working to rebuild our world.

Payactiv’s goal remains to provide hope and security to millions of women and minority workers disproportionately suffering from discriminatory lending practices and a lack of access to financial services.

Today, 39% of African-Americans, 29% Hispanics, and 31% of single mothers lack access to credit alternatives for food or rent between pay periods. Payactiv closes this gap by providing financial tools to underserved communities and instant access to their earned wages. For millions of people, we bridge America’s pay gap one pay period at a time.

To date, Payactiv has saved + $400M in unnecessary fees for 2M workers living paycheck-to-paycheck and during the pandemic we waived fees for 70 days, created a nonprofit to alleviate financial hardship, and partnered with NYC to provide $27M in wages to taxi drivers delivering emergency essentials – all essential factors in our finalist placement.
