Payactiv and Uber are Providing Transportation for Essential Hourly Workers

PayActiv is extending its partnership with Uber, making flexible and reliable transportation available to essential hourly workers.

PayActiv has always offered Uber access directly from our app, yet we wanted to enhance the ability for essential workers to get to their critical jobs at hospitals, warehouses, and restaurants.

When it comes to workers, everybody, every pair of hands, and every compassionate heart is needed on the front lines as we push towards recovery.

Public transportation has been disrupted as a result of COVID-19, and even where it hasn’t been, some essential workers do not want to increase exposure risk by utilizing it.

Cars still break down, and with mechanic access spotty, workers still need to get to their jobs.

PayActiv helps hourly workers pay for Uber by accessing their earned but unpaid wages, and calling for an Uber right inside our app. 

When people have to get to work and Uber is the only option, they rely on PayActiv to be able to pay for their ride and not risk losing their job if they don’t show up.

Employers also have the option to pay for rides, which is more important now than in normal times.

As it is, the vast majority of Americans live paycheck to paycheck.  Cash flow is more important now than usual, so offering an employee benefit that increases financial wellness is more necessary than ever.
