Hello. I’m here today with Payactiv’s vice president of product, Michael Gregorio, to tell us about an exciting new feature. Welcome, Michael.
Michael:
Hey, Peter. How are you doing?
Peter:
Excellent. Let’s dive right into it. What is Connect?
Michael:
Sure. Payactiv Connect is a communication platform for their deskless workforce. You can easily send announcements, offer shifts, scheduling, and keep your employees more engaged.
Peter:
Let’s say I’m a corporate executive or an HR leader. Why do I care? What’s this going to do for me?
Michael:
Well, on average, it keeps them more engaged. One, because on average, our users come in twice a day to see their accessible amounts. As you know, we do earned wage access. HR portals are great for desk workers. But these non-desk hourly workers need a little bit more of an incentive to see those additional information, hence we put together the Connect platform.
Peter:
I understand it’s like a social feed. It’s going to look and feel like a content piece … a channel that I’m familiar. Right?
Michael:
That’s correct. Think of it as a LinkedIn or a Facebook, but more on the HR with rules.
Peter:
Talk a little bit about the rules and some of the examples of usage.
Michael:
Sure. Employers can distribute announcements directly to employees, such as weather alerts, company events. Again, most hourly workers don’t have a company email account. This is a perfect way to facilitate more of that sense of engagement community across the organization.
Peter:
And when is Payactiv Connect going to become available?
Michael:
Payactiv Connect is actually available now. We’re taking some beta clients to see it, view it, make sure that it actually is well received in the community. We typically do that with all of our products. We really build this for our end users.
Peter:
Outstanding. Anything else you want to add before we leave?
Michael:
No. Just keep in mind that connect is more of a company announcement for posting videos, content, links, URLs. We have the ability to have direct group chats as well, private and public. And addition to that, we’re not a scheduling software company, but we have the ability to actually show them available and schedule shifts.
